The five minute makeover. :)
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009So I am putting myself out there, and showing you my morning routine. I decided to take a picture of the products I use, how I look before, and how I look after. It literally takes me five minutes to do my face and roughly five more minutes to do my hair. I really try to take this time every morning (although sometimes it doesn’t happen until later in the day) not only because it makes me feel more put together, but because I know my husband thinks its sweet that I want to look like a girl for him.
I really think it is important to spend a few minutes on yourself each day, even if its just to brush your hair and teeth. I remember in the days of having tiny ones, it was hard to get those two things done each day, but I’m sure my husband appreciated that I simply smelled ok and wasnt wearing one of his old tshirts.
As they’ve grown a bit, its been easier to make a few minutes for myself, and yet, I still dont have more than a half hour to spend each day, Sooo…here’s what I do.
After my shower, I use my favorite body powder with a fancy poof.
I use “Noir” by Victoria’s Secret from their “Sexy little things” collection. Its heavenly. After brushing my teeth, and wiping the raccoon eyes away, I head downstairs. I get dressed (sometimes taking a bit to iron whatever I’m wearing) and then get my hair brushed back out of my face. I apply the Noir lotion (my gosh it smells good) and moisturize my face. RIght now I’m out of facial moisturizer, so I’m using my Noir. Probably not the best choice, but I gotta use something.
Here are my morning supplies.

Concealer, liquid foundation (its really light and not cakey at all.), eyeshadow (I only use the light one for daily use), mascara, and my lotion, all from Victoria’s Secret. I have some face powder that I use on occasion there on the bottom right. It’s by MAC, and was a present from my husband. I wouldn’t spend the money on it typically, but he wanted to do something nice for me. The blush is from a compact of Lauren Hutton makeup that a friends’ mom gave me. (She didnt care for it). I also have powdered eyeliner in there that I use when I go out, or just need a little extra eye widening, LOL!
Sooo…here goes…The before:

after a quick five minutes, I have my “face on”.

I blow-dry my hair (if I haven’t washed it the night before), decide on a style, (Today it was half up) and then take my big fat curling iron to the ends.

So, taadaaa…She’s no Miss America, but she’s more than a good personality. ![]()
