Camera died halfway through the video, so we have a 2-parter.

As I mention in the video, uploading vids from my camera takes FOREVER so I’m posting the new place in bits I think.
Here’s the living room, kitchen, and dining “area”.

Happy Monday!
We’re approaching lunch hour here, and it feels like we’ve already accomplished quite a bit.
We’ll see if I can keep up this momentum as the day carries on.
Got up just after six today, started coffee for the hubs and I, mixed up a dutch baby for breakfast, and pressed Art’s clothes while it baked. I’ll post the recipe at the bottom. It was soooo good. I’d never had one before, and while searching for a “puffy pancake” recipe, I found the dutch baby recipe, and I’m glad I did. Trin and I had ours with maple syrup and daddy had his with an apple topping I made last night.
The hubs, Trin and I had breakfast together while the other two slept. The girly and I saw daddy off to work, and then got started on the day. She decided to do her history lesson for today while I got breakfast cleaned up. Made some arrangements for my Ohio trip in a couple of weeks, and got dressed for the day. I picked up the cutest pair of shoes the other day and I feel so girly in them. I just might have to take a pic.
Decided to take some goodies down to the leasing office (fresh baked bread made last night and homemade honey butter) and then made a quick grocery trip for eggs and sesame seeds. I want to get some challah bread made up today, but couldnt do it without those two things.
Just got home from the store, and after a quick clean, we’ve got laundry rollin’, lunch started (some burritos from the freezer I made 2 weeks ago for me and grilled cheese w/fruit for the kids), and school lessons are back on track for the day.
While the kids work on school, I have a to-do list that needs to be accomplished:
1.) Clean both bathrooms, mop both floors, and scrub tub
2.) Take out all trash
3.) vacuum stairs and upstairs portion of house
4.) Tidy my bedroom, make my bed (still havent made it…whoops!)
5.) Put all adults laundry away.
6.) Plan menu for the cooking I’ll be doing for a friend in Ohio.
Short list, but its going to take some diligence to complete it all.
Trinity is making dinner tonight (Tater tot casserole) so once I get the bread done, I’ll be good on kitchen prep for the rest of the day. Gotta love having a little girl who is so willing to help. I should be able to finish up my list with those bit of extra free time in my schedule today.
Hopefully I will have finished my list by the time dh makes it home today. I’m hoping to just sit and relax with him tonight, enjoy Trin’s cooking, and maybe even have something sweet for dessert.
Speaking of sweet, here’s the dutch baby recipe:
2 eggs, room temp
1/2 c milk, slightly warmed
1/2 cup flour
pinch salt
pinch nutmeg
pinch cinnamon
dash vanilla
2 tbsp butter
Preheat 10in cast iron or other oven safe frying pan/skillet at 475* in oven.
Beat eggs, then add milk. Sift together spices, salt, and flour, and add gradually to egg/milk mixture, stirring until thin and smooth.
Remove pan, turn oven down to 425*, and coat pan evenly with butter. Swirl pan to coat sides of skillet. While still hot, add batter to pan. Place back into oven for 12 minutes. Your dutch baby should puff up beautifully, and have an amazing looking crispy crust on it.
Top with whatever you wish (fruit, syrup, lemon, powdered sugar, cooked apples, etc) Mmm….so tasty!!
