Blue Monday: 6/4/12
Monday, June 4th, 2012
I haven’t done a Blue Monday in years. As I sat here this morning, I thought today might be the day to do one again. I opened up my picture folder to see what I already had pictures of, hoping for inspiration. I took so many pictures in the last five days…and none were blue. I thought of taking a pic of Gavin’s new shoes. They are blue. They are also those “monkey feet” shoes with toes. I love them. Instead, I chose to look through more pictures. I came across an entire folder of drawings the kids have made in MS Paint on the computer. Interestingly enough, almost all of them have blue in them. I can tell by the designs and little details who made them and some of the titles are pretty adorable. Thought I would share.
As far as I can tell, Gavin only made one. It wasn’t hard to spot.

His first initial, in NY Giants colors. Dead giveaway. He also appropriately titled it, “Gavin”. Deep.
Trinity is the easiest to spot. You see, Trinity lives in a world where puffy hearts and glitter fall from the sky every time she speaks. It is rather incredible, really. I wish I could see the world through her eyes for one day. Just one day. I dread the day she figures out that unicorns aren’t real and the world is a tough place to live.
Here is the first one that caught my eye:

There is no guess work on this one. It was made on 3-29-12, she was 10 years old, and it is titled “only 1flower”. Simple enough.
Not blue, but had to include it.

It is called “loveballon” (said the homeschooled child.)
The rest of her art is pretty much an homage to me. Check it out.

(M is for mom by the way)

Hey, that one has some blue! I imagine this to be what Trinity’s words would look like in color. I mean that in a very loving way, I swear. She called this one “Trinity”. I think I am on to something here. The girl just has a joyful heart.

Titled Ilooovuuuuuuuuuuuuuu111

This one is “Mama2″. Maybe Mama1 didnt make the cut.
The last Trinity one is called Ilovemom. Its my favorite.

My favorite thing about it is that she never showed it to me. This means that she just wanted to create something saying she loved her mom…well on 3-29-12, anyway. It wasnt for bonus points, it wasnt to prove anything…it was because she loves me. Kinda sweet.
Back to blue.
Let’s move on to Piper, shall we? She is a very mature child for her age, and a bit of an over-thinker, like her Mama.

titled, “Dad”.

Titled, “Mom”. She is ever the fair one.

“Dad2″

“Dad3″
Starting to feel a little less fair…
(Can you see they have begun to take sides?)
I love this one:

It is called “I will live forever”. She is 8. Yeah.
Fair as always, she also has these two:

(See? Piper agrees with me.
)
and this one:

titled “happybdaygavin”
Perhaps most appropriate, is this one:

Titled: “BLUE” (click to link back to blue monday)
Happy Monday. ![]()
